North Bastar Kanker: Collector stressed on bringing progress in the works of Jal Jeevan Mission and Housing Scheme.
Collector Shri Nilesh Kumar Kshirsagar reviewed the works in progress of various departments by holding a weekly time-bound meeting in the conference hall of the district office today. In the meeting, the collector said that classes should not be held in dilapidated school buildings and Anganwadis of the district. He also instructed the officials to stop the operation of dilapidated hostels. He instructed the District Education Officer and District Program Officer to immediately prepare and send a proposal for the repair of dilapidated school and Anganwadi buildings.
In the time-bound meeting held in the meeting hall of the district office, the collector reviewed the pending cases department-wise in detail and directed the officers to resolve them quickly. He told all the SDMs that the tehsil office should remain open during the prescribed office hours and all the staff should be present compulsorily. He also instructed the Chief Medical Officer to organize regular meetings of the Jeevandeep Committee. The collector told all the present officers that the state government is making continuous efforts to provide the benefits of the government’s flagship schemes to the last person in the remote areas of the district. In this regard, he directed that if new roads, bridges or other infrastructure development related works are very necessary in remote and inaccessible areas, then make an action plan for it. He also said that such youth of the district who are interested in joining the army and police recruitment can be given free physical training by ex-servicemen. For this, he instructed the sports officer to make necessary arrangements to provide training to the youth. In the meeting, the collector said that the implementation of important schemes like Jaljeevan Mission, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be expedited on priority. Expressing displeasure over the slow progress in Kanker, Narharpur and Charaama development blocks of the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the collector directed the CEOs of the district panchayats to complete the pending works before 15th August. Along with this, he also reviewed the works of Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana and Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club. The collector, while reviewing the works of Niyyad Nellanar Yojana, directed the officials of the concerned department to complete the pending works on priority.
In the meeting, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Sumit Agarwal gave detailed information about the progress in the district under Niyad Nellnar Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Solid Waste Management. On this occasion, Forest Officer Mr. Hemchand Pahare, Additional Collector Mr. S. Ahirwar, Mr. B.S. Uike, Mr. Jitendra Kurre and other district level officers were present.
