‘KYC’ Process Made Mandatory for MPSC Aspirants
Mumbai : The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a significant decision: completion of the Know Your Customer (KYC) process is now mandatory for all candidates before submitting any application through the Commission’s online application system.
According to MPSC, candidates must complete their identity verification (KYC) using any one of the following four methods:
- Aadhaar-based Online e-KYC
- Aadhaar Offline Paperless Digital KYC
- Aadhaar Offline Paper-Based KYC
- Non-Aadhaar Offline KYC
The KYC process must be completed before applying, and during one-time registration, candidates are required to provide a valid mobile number and email ID in the system. If a candidate opts for Aadhaar-based verification, the Aadhaar number must be linked with a mobile number. Notably, MPSC has provided the facility to link Aadhaar numbers with its online system since March 2017.
This new system aims to ensure accurate identity authentication, preventing fraud and misinformation. Importantly, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the State Government have officially authorized MPSC to use Aadhaar authentication at various stages of recruitment and competitive examinations.
