Warkaris Enthusiastically Respond to ‘Samvadwari’ Exhibition in Sansar

Pune : With idols of Vitthal-Rukmini on their heads, tulsi altars in hand, along with cymbals, veenas, and flags of the Bhagwat Dharma, Warkaris marching toward Pandharpur have also been turning their footsteps toward the ‘Samvadwari’ exhibition organized by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations.

Held alongside the Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi procession, the ‘Samvadwari’ campaign features an exhibition, tableau vehicles (chitraraths), LED vans, cultural troupes, and street plays—all aimed at spreading awareness about government schemes. The initiative has already received a warm response from Warkaris and villagers at several locations including Kadamwakvasti, Loni Kalbhor, Yavat, Varvand, Undwadi Gawalyachi, Baramati, and now Sansar.

Chitrarath Draws Special Attention

The chitrarath traveling with the Palkhi has emerged as a special attraction for Warkaris. Many are seen clicking pictures with the tableau, which features eye-catching displays such as a traditional lamp and a model of the Tulsi Vrindavan on the front. The creative design and artistic presentation of the tableau are sparking curiosity among the pilgrims.

The cultural troupe performances are being met with applause, effectively blending entertainment with informative messages about various schemes. On the LED van accompanying the procession, government schemes are being showcased through audio-visual clips on large screens.

In multiple locations, traditional devotional performances like bhajans and chants of “Vitthunam” are paired with informative presentations on cleanliness, health, and social welfare, making the initiative both educational and engaging. Crowds can often be seen gathering around these mobile information units.

Warkaris and local citizens are making a point to visit the exhibition, actively engaging with and learning about various public welfare schemes. Informative leaflets are also being distributed to visitors. The exhibition is scheduled to be held at Nimgaon Ketki on June 28 and Indapur Palkhi Tal on June 29, with the District Information Office urging all citizens to benefit from it.
