Gorakhpur to extend grand welcome to President Murmu: CM Yogi

Gorakhpur : Gorakhpur is set to extend a grand welcome to President Droupadi Murmu as she arrives in Uttar Pradesh to inaugurate the state’s first AYUSH University. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, determined to ensure flawless arrangements for the President’s two-day visit, personally inspected preparations for the second consecutive day at Pipri in Bhathat, where the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University is located.

President Murmu will inaugurate the university on July 1 and later visit the revered Gorakhnath Temple by road. To ensure smooth travel, CM Yogi reviewed the entire route from the temple to the university on Saturday, inspecting key junctions such as Nakha Overbridge, Sports College Chauraha, Karimanagar Chauraha, Jhungia Mod, and Medical College Road.

The President’s visit spans two days, June 30 and July 1. On the first day, she will grace the convocation ceremony of AIIMS Gorakhpur. The following day, along with inaugurating the AYUSH University, she will also inaugurate academic facilities at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University in Sonbarsa Balapar, including an auditorium, Panchakarma center, and girls’ hostel.

CM Yogi, accompanied by senior administrative and police officials, as well as university representatives, issued clear instructions that the event must be executed with utmost grandeur and precision. Prior to his route inspection, the Chief Minister held a meeting with senior BJP leaders and public representatives at the Gorakhnath Temple conference hall, urging everyone to take full responsibility in making the President’s visit memorable.

Several prominent leaders attended the meeting, including Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, BJP State Vice President and MLC Dr. Dharmendra Singh, MLAs Shriram Chauhan, Rajesh Tripathi, Vipin Singh, Mahendra Pal Singh, Dr. Vimlesh Paswan, Pradeep Shukla, and Sarvan Nishad. Also present were BJP Regional President Sahajanand Rai, District President Janardan Tiwari, and former President Rajesh Gupta.
