Strive Positively to Upgrade Public Relations Services: Saraswat

Oath-Taking Ceremony of the New Executive Committee of ‘PRASAR’ Held at Jaipur Information Centre

Jaipur : The oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed executive committee of the Public Relations and Allied Services Association of Rajasthan (PRASAR) was held on Saturday at the Information Centre in Jaipur. The event was attended by Additional Director (Administration) of the Information and Public Relations Department, Mr. Arvind Saraswat, Additional Director Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, Joint Director Mr. Manmohan Harsh, PRASAR President Dr. Harishankar Acharya, Senior Vice President Mr. Kumar Ajay, Deputy Director of the Information Centre Mr. Leeladhar Dochaniya, General Secretary Mr. Abhay Singh, and several public relations officers.

Focus on Positive Efforts to Upgrade PR Services

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Mr. Arvind Saraswat emphasized the need for positive efforts to improve public relations services by addressing their past, present, and future. He stressed the importance of strengthening this essential arm of government and adapting it to evolving needs and opportunities.

He stated that the government is committed to the welfare of citizens and public servants, and that PRASAR serves as a vital platform for internal communication, organizational empowerment, and enhancing service quality. He called for a positive approach to overcoming challenges, highlighting the bright future of PRASAR. In today’s dynamic era—particularly under the influence of social and alternative media—public relations must adopt new strategies and fulfill the resource needs of new media accordingly. He also stressed the need for proper cadre review and effectively presenting legitimate demands to the government. He extended best wishes to the new leadership, expressing confidence that it would lead the organization to new heights.

Relevance of PR in the Digital Era

Additional Director Dr. Kamlesh Sharma noted the changing role of communication systems and the growing relevance of public relations in the technological era. He called for stronger dissemination of the government’s welfare schemes and encouraged members to serve with innovation, dedication, and transparency.

Teamwork Is Key to Institutional Success

Joint Director Mr. Manmohan Harsh congratulated the new committee and assured full cooperation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between junior and senior personnel in achieving institutional goals and called for a positive work environment led by positive energy. He highlighted the outstanding work done by the department’s photography unit, which has received global recognition.

Vision for PRASAR’s Future

Following the oath-taking, President Dr. Harishankar Acharya outlined the organization’s priorities and future plans. He reiterated a commitment to establishing PRASAR as a strong platform that effectively represents the interests of the personnel in the Information and Public Relations Department. He described PRASAR as not just an organization, but a symbol of confidence, dedication, and creative energy of officers and staff in the PR services.

He urged members to work together to uphold departmental dignity and strengthen the role of public interest and media. He also emphasized the need to celebrate Public Relations Day on April 21 in a planned and uniform manner, and called for a cadre review of PR services.

Strengthening PR Through Coordination and Innovation

Senior Vice President Mr. Kumar Ajay, welcoming the guests, spoke about the coordinated efforts between the department and the government to uplift PR services. He highlighted PRASAR’s integrated role in social, governmental, and media sectors and expressed confidence that the new executive committee would take the organization to greater heights through innovation and by carrying forward past traditions.

Election Officer Shares Insights

Deputy Director Mr. Alok Anand, who served as the Election Officer, shared his experiences and the processes and innovations undertaken during the election. He noted with satisfaction that the executive committee was elected unopposed, which reflects the harmony, trust, and unity within the organization. Secretary Mr. Mohit Jain delivered the vote of thanks.

Deputy Director Honored for Outstanding Service

During the event, Deputy Director Mr. Leeladhar Dochaniya was honored for his outstanding service in the Information and Public Relations Department. Reflecting on his career, Mr. Dochaniya spoke about his experiences, challenges, and achievements in government service and expressed gratitude to the department. He extended best wishes for the continued progress of public relations services.
