Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Visits Bhilwara for Saints’ Annual Celebration

Participates in 29th Memorial of Baba Gangaram Sahib and 75th Annual Utsav of Baba Hariram Sahib at Hariseva Udasin Ashram

Jaipur : Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani was on a one-day visit to Bhilwara district on Sunday, where he took part in the concluding day of a four-day annual spiritual festival of revered Gurus at Hariseva Udasin Ashram, Sanatan Mandir Bhilwara. The event marked the 29th memorial (Bars i) of Baba Gangaram Sahib and the 75th annual celebration of Baba Hariram Sahib.

At the Ashram, Shri Devnani offered prayers and sought blessings from saints and spiritual leaders. In his address, he emphasized the importance of keeping sacred texts like the Ramcharitmanas and the Bhagavad Gita in every household, saying these scriptures help instill strong values and character in future generations.

He also spoke about initiatives taken in the Rajasthan Assembly, including the creation of a Constitution Gallery and the renaming of colonial and Mughal-era locations in Ajmer to reflect Sanatan cultural heritage.

Mahant Swami Hansaram Udasin, delivering the keynote message, remarked, “India was, is, and will always remain the spiritual leader of the world — a status made possible by the enduring strength of Sanatan Dharma.” He stressed the importance of charity for the nation, religion, and society, noting that it leads to peace and joy in life. Through devotional music, Swami Hansaram praised the virtues of Baba Hariram, Baba Shevaram, and Baba Gangaram, highlighting how they always used charitable contributions for religious, national, and altruistic purposes.

Several other saints, including Sant Mayaram, Sant Govindram, Balak Indradev, Siddharth, Kunal, and Mihir, also joined the celebrations, offering devotional tributes to their Gurus in the presence of Swami Hansaram.

In the morning, devotees offered prayers at the Samadhis (shrines) of the Gurus, Dhuna Sahib, Asan Sahib, Jhanda Sahib, and Shri Hari Siddheshwar Temple. A Havan (fire ritual) was performed with offerings made by saints. Upon the completion of the Akhanda Path (continuous scripture recitation), Bhog Sahib was offered, and the Shri Shri Chand Matra Sahib’s sacred hymns were read aloud. The event concluded with community meals (Annkshatra Seva) served to all present.
