Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan Becomes a Model for Tribal Empowerment
Over 2,340 Citizens Receive Aadhaar Services in Remote Tribal Areas; Operator Lakhan Lal Sahu Honoured with Aadhaar Excellence Award
Raipur : The Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan has emerged as a beacon of hope and a symbol of tribal empowerment in the Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district of Chhattisgarh. Launched to bring essential digital services to tribal communities, the initiative has successfully bridged the gap between remote villages and vital Aadhaar-related facilities.

Through special camps held under the campaign, more than 2,340 tribal citizens have received services such as Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and issue resolutions—right at their doorstep. What began as a government initiative has now evolved into a digital empowerment movement for tribal societies.
Recognising his outstanding contribution, Aadhaar service operator Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu was awarded the “Best Performing Operator in Aadhaar Enrolment & Update Services in LWE Districts of Chhattisgarh” by the UIDAI Regional Office, Hyderabad. He received the honour at a felicitation ceremony held in Raipur on June 20, 2025.
The Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan camps are not just limited to Aadhaar services. They also offer a range of citizen-centric digital facilities, including income, caste, and residence certificates, electricity bill payments, LPG refilling, railway ticket bookings, banking, crop insurance, farmer registration, voter ID, driving licenses, and PAN card services—all made available at the village level.
Today, the campaign stands as a symbol of rural development, public convenience, and digital inclusion. It is not only making essential services more accessible but is also playing a crucial role in integrating tribal regions into the mainstream through digital empowerment.
