Ajmer’s Varun Sagar Undergoes Beautification, Lord Jhulelal’s Statue to Be Installed Soon: Assembly Speaker Inaugurates Dam Renovation Works

Varun Sagar in Ajmer is getting a vibrant makeover. On Tuesday evening, Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani visited Varun Sagar to review the ongoing renovation and beautification work. He officially inaugurated the dam repair and beautification project, which was completed at a cost of ₹90 lakh. He also announced that a statue of Lord Jhulelal will soon be installed at the site. Additionally, beautification projects worth several crores are underway to enhance the area further.

Speaking at the event, Shri Devnani stated, “Varun Sagar’s fortunes are changing, just as Ajmer city itself is rapidly transforming.” He credited Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy CM Diya Kumari for ensuring ample financial support for the city’s development. Once known for its natural beauty, Varun Sagar is set to regain its lost glory. The area has also begun to address water shortage issues, leading to improved water distribution for residents.

The Assembly Speaker highlighted other development initiatives in nearby areas, noting improvements in road conditions and the rapid progress of a leopard safari project. He informed that a budget of several hundred crores has been allocated for long-term drinking water solutions, and work is currently in progress.

Key sectors such as healthcare, education, employment, tourism, IT, and Ayurveda are being strengthened to ensure essential services are easily accessible to the public in a responsible and efficient manner.

Shri Devnani assured the public that he is available 24/7 to address their concerns. “The people of this constituency have elected me for the fifth consecutive time and entrusted me with great responsibility. I am committed to fulfilling their expectations,” he said. He also mentioned that precautionary measures have been taken this year to prevent the waterlogging issues that occurred last monsoon.
