Path of para-athlete Ms. Tiwari becomes easier
Will be able to perform better in sports with sports wheelchair
Bhopal : Para-athlete Ms. Manswita Tiwari will now be able to perform even better and bring glory to state and country. On the instructions of Ujjain Collector Shri Roshan Kumar Singh and Department of Social Justice and Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, para-athlete Ms. Manswita Tiwari has been provided a sports wheelchair in the public hearing held on Tuesday.
It is noteworthy that Ms. Tiwari is a para-athlete and has represented the country in various para sports competitions. Manswita Tiwari’s mother, Smt. Kalpana Tiwari, informed that Manswita is a player of swimming, canoeing, and taekwondo. Manswita has won 17 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals in para national games in swimming and canoeing. Also, she has won 1 gold and 1 silver medal in taekwondo.
Manswita has had a special interest in sports since childhood. She is differently-abled but has turned her weakness into strength and is bringing glory to the region and the country. Manswita was in great need of a sports wheelchair for excellent performance in her game, but her mother was not able to afford it. In the public hearing, she requested the Ujjain Collector that if the government could provide Manswita a wheelchair, she would be able to perform even better.
Understanding this need, the Collector Shri Roshan Kumar Singh instructed the department concerned to provide a sports wheelchair to Ms. Manswita. CEO Jila Panchayat Mrs. Jayati Singh provided the wheelchair to Manswita. Manswita’s mother, Mrs. Tiwari, expressed gratitude to the state government for this exceptional support.
