Ajit Pawar’s Initiative Accelerates Establishment of CIITT in Beed
MIDC Allocates 4,000 Sq. Meters Land and Funds for the Centre
Mumbai : Under the dynamic leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the establishment of the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) in Beed is progressing rapidly through a partnership with Tata Technologies. The MIDC Board of Directors has approved the allocation of 4,000 square meters of land in Industrial Area Facility No. 3, Beed, along with the required funding for the project.
This decision paves the way for equipping the youth of Beed with industrial training and technical skill development, thus enabling them to become industry-ready and creating opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. Ajit Pawar has been personally monitoring the project through regular meetings, ensuring its speedy execution. The formal tripartite agreement and groundbreaking ceremony are expected soon.
A similar CIIIT was previously launched by Tata Technologies at Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. In Ratnagiri, MIDC has been appointed as the implementing agency for the new CIIIT. Likewise, MIDC has provided funding for a CIIIT in Shirdi. Following this model, the MIDC Board has also decided to provide funding and serve as the implementing body for the Beed CIIIT.
This move is expected to significantly boost employment and self-employment opportunities for youth in Beed. Earlier this year, Ajit Pawar, as Guardian Minister of Beed, announced the establishment of a CIIIT in the district to help youth become industry-ready through skill development. Tata Technologies has agreed to set up the CIIIT in Beed with an estimated cost of ₹191 crore, as confirmed in an official letter to Ajit Pawar.
The centre will train around 7,000 youth annually, fostering an industry-supportive ecosystem in the region.
Ajit Pawar is widely respected for his decisive and action-oriented governance. Since assuming charge as Guardian Minister of Beed, he has made bold decisions and ensured timely implementation. During his district tour on April 2, 2025, he had announced the Beed CIIIT and later sent a formal request to Tata Technologies for collaboration.
In response, Tata Technologies agreed to invest ₹191 crore in the project. Of this, ₹33 crore (15%) will be funded by the Beed district administration, while the remainder will be shared by Tata Technologies and its partner institutions. After establishment, the centre will provide global-standard industrial and technical training aligned with Industry 4.0 requirements, ensuring the availability of a skilled workforce to industries and supporting the youth in achieving employment or entrepreneurship.
For the first three years, Tata Technologies will bear the full training cost. Subsequently, the expenses will be split equally between Tata Technologies and the district administration (50% each annually). This initiative is expected to create a strong skilled workforce pipeline and foster an industrial-friendly environment in Beed.
The people of Beed have welcomed Ajit Pawar’s swift and impactful decision-making with joy and satisfaction, expressing optimism for the district’s industrial future.
