Review Meeting of Social Justice and Empowerment Department: Simplify All Processes from Application to Verification and Make Them User-Friendly – ACS

Jaipur : Additional Chief Secretary of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Mrs. Aparna Arora, emphasized the need to simplify all processes, from application to verification, for schemes like pensions and scholarships, and to make them technologically user-friendly so that benefits of government schemes can reach the common people promptly and efficiently.

Mrs. Arora was chairing a review meeting at Ambedkar Bhawan on Monday with officials of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, the Child Empowerment Department, the Department for Specially Abled Persons, and Anuja Nigam. She directed the officers to provide technical support to assist citizens and instructed the development of a Single Integrated Portal along with a citizen mobile app to streamline access to all schemes.

During the three-hour-long marathon session, the Additional Chief Secretary reviewed PowerPoint presentations of all schemes and issued key directives. She particularly stressed the need to promote and raise awareness about schemes with low application numbers and called on officials to personally monitor scheme implementation. She advised taking proactive steps to simplify processes wherever possible.

Mrs. Arora further stated that a mechanism should be developed to ensure that applications, verifications, and related checks for various schemes can be completed at the panchayat level itself, rather than relying on block or district levels, which often cause delays in processing.

During the meeting, progress reports on key initiatives were reviewed, including:

  • Palanhaar Yojana
  • Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Scheme
  • Babasaheb Ambedkar Adarsh Gram Yojana
  • Swayam Siddha Ashram
  • College Residential Hostels
  • Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana
  • Senior Citizens Welfare Programs
  • Mukhyamantri Ayushman Bal Sanbal Yojana
  • And various pension and scholarship schemes
