AAP National Media In-Charge Anurag Dhandha Launches Sharp Attack on Haryana CM Nayab Singh over ‘Operation Lotus’ in Punjab
Chandigarh, February 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Media In-Charge Anurag Dhandha launched a scathing attack on Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, alleging that the hard-earned money of the people of Haryana is being spent on attempts to buy MLAs in Punjab. He termed this a direct assault on democracy and a betrayal of public trust.
Dhandha said Haryana is currently grappling with grave issues such as rising unemployment, a deteriorating law and order situation, broken roads, the spreading menace of drugs, and neglect of sportspersons. He claimed that for the past nine months, athletes have not received their diet allowance, pensions of senior citizens are being cut, welfare schemes for women are being curtailed, and the youth are wandering from pillar to post in search of jobs. Despite these pressing problems, he alleged, the Haryana Chief Minister appears unconcerned and is instead engrossed in political conspiracies.
“If the Haryana government has so much money and energy, it should be used to fix the state’s crumbling systems rather than trying to destabilise Punjab by poaching MLAs,” Dhandha said, calling it shameful that taxpayers’ money is allegedly being used to undermine democracy.
He further stated that, in contrast, under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has provided more than 62,000 government jobs in just four years—without recommendations or corruption. Governance in Punjab, he said, is being run on the principles of transparency and honesty, which has unnerved the Bharatiya Janata Party, forcing it to resort to conspiracies.
Dhandha asserted that AAP legislators are not for sale. Inspired by the ideology of honesty espoused by Arvind Kejriwal, they are committed grassroots workers who cannot be lured by money or positions. Unlike the BJP and the Indian National Congress, he said, AAP does not practise transactional politics for power.
Issuing a warning to CM Nayab Singh, Dhandha asked him to answer the people of Haryana: when athletes are practising on empty stomachs, youth are desperate for employment, and senior citizens are anxious about pensions, why is his priority conspiring in Punjab? “The public is watching everything and will respond at the right time,” he said.
The Aam Aadmi Party made it clear that it will not allow the politics of buying and selling legislators to succeed at any cost. Dhandha added that it would be better if the Haryana government devoted the remainder of its tenure to public service rather than indulging in futile attempts to destabilise democratically elected governments.
