CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s Visit to Churu: Government Dedicated to Public Welfare, Antyodaya Vision Becoming Reality Through Camps

Churu/Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the state government is wholly dedicated to public welfare and is conducting the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight with this very objective. Through this initiative, welfare schemes are being effectively delivered to the last person in the line. He stated that the government is committed to the upliftment of the poor, farmers, youth, and women, and every promise made in the election manifesto will be fulfilled to accelerate the vision of a developed Rajasthan.
Shri Sharma addressed a public event in Churu under the Antyodaya Sambal fortnight. He noted that Churu is renowned for its unique architectural heritage and natural beauty. The Tal Chhapar Sanctuary, famous for blackbucks and migratory birds, offers a unique experience to nature lovers. The region’s artistic havelis, wall paintings, and historical heritage reflect Churu’s rich cultural legacy.
One-Stop Access to Multiple Welfare Schemes
The CM highlighted that long-pending issues such as land ownership and encroachment removal are being resolved through these camps. Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Poverty-Free Village Scheme, surveys are being conducted in 10,000 villages to connect BPL families to government schemes. Camps also provide free distribution of saplings to farmers, collection of soil samples, distribution of soil health cards, and free livestock insurance, treatment, and vaccination services.
Reaching the Last Mile through Welfare Schemes
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the transformative changes in India post-2014. PM’s welfare programs have uplifted the most deprived sections of society. The state government is fully committed to the PM’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.
Focused Efforts for Women, Youth, Farmers, and the Poor
Shri Sharma contrasted his administration with the previous government, stating the former had no concern for the poor. “We treat the poor like God,” he declared. Farmers are being supported through schemes like Gopal Credit Card and PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi. Women empowerment is being ensured through programs like Lakhpati Didi Yojana, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Lado Incentive Scheme, Bicycle Distribution for Meritorious Girls, and the Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Student Scooty Scheme.
He pledged four lakh government jobs for youth over the next five years. The government has also formed a task force in coordination with Haryana for the Yamuna Water Agreement to bring water to the Shekhawati region.
More Achievements in 1.5 Years Than Entire Previous Term
The CM stated that his government’s achievements in just 18 months surpass the accomplishments of the previous government’s five-year term. Under his leadership, Rajasthan added 4,270 MW to its electricity generation capacity, compared to 3,948 MW during the previous term. Over 253 lakh meters of fencing have been subsidized, and 32,000+ farm ponds constructed—far more than the 113 lakh meters and 29,000 ponds of the previous government. Additionally, 55 animal hospitals have been upgraded to first-class status, compared to only 49 previously.
All-Round Development of Churu District
Focusing on Churu’s development, Shri Sharma announced a ₹834 crore budget allocation for the district, with ₹300 crore dedicated to Churu Assembly. ₹200 crore will be used to build a ring road from Taranagar to Sardarshahar via Ratangarh and Depalsar to NH-52. ₹20 crore is being spent on repairing the Jaipur-Churu road overbridge. Projects also include underbridges on the Sirsala railway line and elevated roads in Churu city.
Inaugurations and Foundation Stones
The CM inaugurated the ₹3.62 crore Chief Minister Rehabilitation Home and an ₹11.76 crore 200-bed Minority Boys’ Residential School in Churu. He also laid the foundation stone for the ₹7.5 crore Khansoli Agriculture College.
Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Shri Avinash Gehlot praised the CM’s initiative to bring Yamuna water to Shekhawati and noted the progress made in electricity, water, education, healthcare, and animal husbandry. He said the Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight is not just a campaign but a new chapter in Rajasthan’s development.
Direct Beneficiary Engagement
On this occasion, the CM distributed certificates and cheques to several beneficiaries under different schemes:
- Mrs. Mamta (CM Ayushman Arogya Yojana)
- Shri Girdhari Singh (fencing assistance)
- Shri Kumbharam (PM Awas Yojana – Rural)
- Mrs. Gomti (PM Matru Vandana Yojana)
- Shri Gopiram and Shri Pratap Singh (land records)
He also honored notable donors (Bhamashahs).
Before the event, the CM inspected the Antyodaya Sambal camp and handed over keys of scooters to girls under the Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Scooty Scheme. He also planted a peepal tree in the event premises to promote environmental awareness and visited a blood donation camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Jodi, to meet and appreciate the donors.
The program was attended by former Leader of Opposition Shri Rajendra Rathore, MLA Shri Harlal Saharan, public representatives, senior officials, and a large gathering of local residents.
