Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Participates in 16th Employment Fair, Says India is Steadily Advancing Toward Becoming a Developed Nation

Jaipur : Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a transparent governance system has been firmly established in the country. He noted that in the past 11 years, India has grown from a $2 trillion to a $4 trillion economy and is now preparing to emerge as the third-largest economy in the world.

Addressing a gathering at the 16th Employment Fair held on Saturday at Dr. Sampurnanand Medical College, Residency Road, Jodhpur, Shri Shekhawat emphasized the importance of lifelong learning. “The Prime Minister always stresses that one must retain the spirit of a student throughout life. It is through learning, education, and performing well in competitive exams that candidates have reached this milestone,” he said, adding, “India is steadily advancing toward becoming a developed nation.”

He highlighted that several central government welfare schemes have significantly transformed the lives of ordinary citizens, enabling over 30 crore people to rise above the poverty line.

Shri Shekhawat also explained that through Rozgar Melas, the central government is issuing appointment letters directly to selected candidates through a transparent recruitment process, thereby reinforcing public trust in government hiring.

He congratulated the newly selected candidates, attributing their success to their hard work, discipline, and preparation. He urged them to work with dedication and a sense of responsibility, contributing to the nation’s progress.

As part of this nationwide initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed around 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited personnel in various central government departments. In Jodhpur alone, 200 youth received their appointment letters during the event.
