Government Committed to Securing a Golden Future for Bastar’s Children – CM Vishnu Deo Sai
CM Sai warmly meets schoolchildren from Sukma district on educational tour to Raipur
Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring a bright and secure future for the children of Bastar. During a warm interaction at the Chhattisgarh Assembly, CM Sai met with schoolchildren from five remote gram panchayats in Sukma district who were on an educational tour to the state capital under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana.
Welcoming the children to Raipur, the Chief Minister engaged in friendly conversation, inquiring about their well-being and experiences during the tour. He emphasized that the development of Bastar’s children remains one of the state’s topmost priorities. The government is determined to provide quality education, healthcare, roads, electricity, and water to every corner of the Bastar region.
Speaking about the region’s rapid development, CM Sai said the educational tour gave the children a chance to witness Raipur closely and understand how the state is progressing. He noted that security camps are being established even in remote areas, which has opened new doors for holistic development. Most areas now have government ration shops, and citizens are benefiting from welfare schemes.
Expressing optimism, the Chief Minister stated his belief that Bastar would soon become entirely free from the grip of Naxalism.
In a light-hearted moment, he jokingly asked the children, “Did Bastar’s lion-hearted kids see the lion during Raipur’s Jungle Safari?” The question drew laughter from everyone present, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
CM Sai also highlighted ongoing efforts to make Bastar self-reliant. The state government is working to strengthen the local economy by promoting dairy farming and generating employment opportunities alongside education. These efforts aim to secure and enrich the future of children in the region.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, and MLAs Shri Ishwar Sahu and Shri Sushant Shukla were also present during the event.
It is noteworthy that under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana, 100 schoolchildren from the remote gram panchayats of Palachalma, Potkapalli, Elmagunda, Tadmetla, and Golapalli in Sukma district are on a two-day educational visit to Raipur. The itinerary includes visits to the Secretariat, Jungle Safari, railway station, and airport. The scheme offers similar educational opportunities to children from five Naxal-affected districts in Bastar.
