Eligible beneficiaries should get 100% benefits of public welfare schemes: Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap.
Raipur : Minister of Forest and Climate Change and Minister in charge of Bijapur district, Shri Kedar Kashyap reached Bijapur today on his one-day visit. He reviewed the progress of state and centrally sponsored public welfare schemes by holding a meeting of district level officers. Minister Shri Kashyap said that ensure that 100% benefits of government schemes reach the eligible beneficiaries. The cooperation of local public representatives should be taken to reach the schemes to the people. He obtained information about various development works of the district including education, health, agriculture, irrigation and gave necessary guidelines to the officials. He also encouraged the officials for better performance in development works with departmental coordination despite the adverse conditions of the district. Bastar Lok Sabha MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap was specially present in the meeting.
Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap has said that all necessary steps should be taken to prevent seasonal and waterborne diseases during the rainy season. He said that the Health Department should ensure distribution of mosquito nets and spraying of DDT for malaria eradication. Sufficient quantity of anti-venom and other medicines should be arranged for the treatment of snakebite.
Minister Shri Kashyap said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is working with sensitivity for the progress of farmers. The government is implementing farmer-friendly schemes. He said that keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers, ensure that fertilizers and seeds are made available as per their demand. He directed to provide information to the farmers about important aspects related to farming through the Agriculture Department officials and Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Minister Shri Kashyap reviewed the progress of the ambitious schemes of the Central and State Government – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, construction of community and individual toilets, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Niyyad Nellnar. Collector Shri Anurag Pandey gave detailed information regarding increasing the irrigation area in the district, progress of Niyad Nellnar, essential facilities being provided to Naxal-affected families residing in Shanti Nagar ward of Bijapur, proposal regarding rail corridor etc.
Superintendent of Police Dr. Jitendra Yadav, CEO District Panchayat Mr. Hemant Ramesh Nandanwar, DFO Mr. Ramakrishna, Deputy Director Indravati Tiger Reserve Mr. Sandeep Balga and other district level senior officers were present in the meeting.
