Chief Minister Meets CII Northeast Leaders
Aizawl : Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma today met with officials from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at his office. The delegation included Mr. Shivekgurubarran G, Head of the Centre of Excellence for Livelihood, and Ms. Shalini Thapa, Senior Director and Head of the Northeastern Region. The meeting focused on ongoing efforts and initiatives in the areas of employment and livelihoods.
The CII representatives briefed the Chief Minister on their work through the Centre of Excellence for Employment & Livelihood, particularly their efforts to promote income generation and microenterprise development. They emphasized Mizoram’s key role as one of the leading states in the Northeast for advancing livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurship. They also noted that Mizoram is among the first states in the region where these initiatives have taken root and shown visible results.
The Chief Minister directed officials from the Planning Department to follow up on the discussions and asked them to prepare a detailed proposal for further collaboration.
