CM Shinde Unveils Monthly Stipends for Students to Boost Skills and Employment.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has unveiled a significant initiative to support students and address unemployment. Announced on Ashadhi Ekadashi Day in Pandharpur, the scheme offers monthly stipends to students based on their educational qualifications.
Under this new scheme, 12th-grade pass students will receive a stipend of ₹6,000 per month, diploma holders will get ₹8,000 per month, and graduates will be awarded ₹10,000 per month.
Shinde stated, “Our government is focusing on creating a skilled workforce. This decision will increase the number of skilled youth in the industry, and students will benefit greatly from this stipend while doing apprenticeships.”
He emphasized that the stipends will be provided for one year to help students gain valuable work experience through apprenticeships, enhancing their employability in the job market.
The Chief Minister highlighted that this initiative is part of the Mahayuti government’s broader efforts to tackle unemployment and support the state’s youth. “Students will get this money to do apprenticeships for a year. After this, they will gain work experience, which will help them secure jobs,” Shinde explained.
He also noted that this is the first time a government has introduced such a comprehensive scheme. By providing stipends, the initiative aims to enable students to gain practical experience in factories and other industries, making it easier for them to find employment in the future.
Shinde reiterated the government’s dedication to supporting the underprivileged, stating, “The grand coalition government belongs to the poor. Eknath Shinde said that with a beloved sister, brothers are also beloved.”
This new stipend scheme is set to create a skilled workforce, reduce unemployment, and provide financial support to students as they acquire crucial work experience.
