ENERZAL Mumbai Ultra Marathon, 2025 – The 12 Hour Run.

The ENERZAL Mumbai Ultra Marathon, a unique 100% charity event to raise fund for the Pediatric Cancer patients under treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai is being scheduled on 15th. August, 2025.

It is “Quintessentially inevitable”, every long haul runner delves into physical exercises – simple & rigid to magnify the immune system. The same was vehemently repercussed by the athletes while advocating for the noble cause, during an interaction with Maverick News 30 – the official media partner of 2025 ENERZAL Mumbai Ultra Marathon.

While the correspondent was busy mitigating other media releases worldwide, it came to the light that recently Doctor Aaron Feingold, MD, chair of cardiology at JFK University Medical Center in New Jersey, have reiterated that cautious optimism and practical excitement is the key to the sustainable care of one’s health.

DR. DEEPAK GHOSH – Fire Fighter & Firebrand Marathoner:

The firebrand marathoner Deepak commenced his striving for athletic excellence being pink at the age of 43. He narrated, “When I was posted in Colaba Fire Station, I came across Mumbai Marathon where I have seen so many elderly people running in the marathon as well as kids and ladies also. Then I thought that if they can run, so why can’t I at the age of 43!”.

That had inspired Deepak to begin from scratch. He had successfully completed his first long run haul of 10 kilometres in Kandivali, followed by 21 kilometres in Mumbai Marathon at the age of 45. “So, this was the turning point which led me reaching the National and International level. I completed several Full Marathon and Three Ultra Marathons”, as said by Dr. Ghosh.

When he was serving Byculla Fire Station, and later at Bandra fire station, he used to run regularly from Byculla to Bandra. There at the Shivaji Park he came across runners of Shivaji Park Marathon Club (SPMC) group, who had infused the significance of Mumbai Ultra Marathon organised by them. That had turned out to be the juncture in Deepak’s life.

In a very enthusiastic tone, Deepak said, “So, I too participated in Ultra Marathon for the first time in 2018, and completed 76 km in 12 hours. For the very first few hours I ran very fast and got exhausted. I took some physio in the camp and there few experienced runners suggested me to go slow since it was the Ultra-Run. I started continuing slowly and could complete my 12 hours run. Thereafter I did two more ultramarathon. Moreover, I contribute humbly in the blood donation camp. I am now a regular blood donor at Shivaji Park on every 15th. of August”.

On a very high note, he has reaffirmed that the Mumbai Ultra Marathon in Shivaji Park is well organised by SPMC. They are a coasted community deploying the Correct Person in the Correct Place.   Alongside providing breakfast enriched with nutritional value, Physiotherapy Camp supervised by Medico team and Hydration points strategically placed.

Inspiring spectators & supporting volunteer’s compliments to the ‘Violet Light’, particularly for the new generation of runners as a redolent of the spirit needs to be transmitted to several others.

He has urged that organisers should give more publicity to this event and reach society at large so that more people are tempted to participate in this event.

Dr. Deepak Ghosh has expressed his confidence while pondering about the future participants, “I take part in marathon, cycling, Triathlon and in our fire drills regularly even at the age of 56. I recently won two bronze medals for India in the world Police and fire games in United States. I just want that the new generation and people at large should get inspired due to this, and that will help them to be fit and healthy. This in turn will make our Society and the nation strong. So, my sincere request to all the new blood that they should come forward to participate in such marathons so that they build the stamina, endurance and get rid of many diseases. It not only increases your physical fitness but also keeps you mentally strong. It will be really helpful for the participants in the future life”.
