CM Vishnu Deo Sai Launches ‘Cow Science Examination Campaign 2025’; Focus on Gau Seva and Kitchen Gardens

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the ‘Cow Science Examination Campaign 2025’ at his official residence, an initiative organized by the Chhattisgarh State Cow Protection and Promotion Committee. On this occasion, the Chief Minister unveiled the campaign poster and extended his best wishes to committee members for their noble efforts.

Highlighting the cultural and environmental significance of the campaign, CM Sai stated that Gau Seva (service to cows) is the soul of Indian tradition. He emphasized that it not only offers spiritual benefits but also plays a crucial role in environmental conservation. He noted that this year’s campaign places a special focus on the creation of household kitchen gardens, which will contribute to public health and self-reliance—marking a commendable step toward sustainable living.

Shri Subodh Rathi, State President of the Committee, briefed the Chief Minister on the campaign’s framework. He informed that the Cow Science Examination will be conducted across the state on 4 November 2025. The aim of the exam is to raise public awareness about the importance of cow breeds, their role in the ecological system, their contribution to preventing global warming, and the scientific benefits of Panchagavya (five cow-derived products).

Rathi stated that the exam will be held in three categories—Secondary, Higher Secondary, and College level. Winners at the state level will receive ₹51,000 (First Prize), ₹31,000 (Second Prize), and ₹21,000 (Third Prize) in cash, along with kits containing cow-based products. Similarly, district-level winners will receive ₹3,100, ₹2,100, and ₹1,100 respectively, along with product kits.

All participants will be provided with a Cow Science Textbook and a certificate of participation. Interested students may register through their institution’s Principal or designated Cow Science Coordinator.

Notably, over one lakh students had participated in last year’s examination. This year, the committee has again set a target of over one lakh participants. Present during the event were State Coordinator Shri Anna Safare, Deputy State Head Shri Manoj Pandey, Cow Textbook Editor Dr. Amit Pandey, and several other committee members.
