Pu Vanlaldina Fanai, Commissioner To Cm, Gad, Holds Meeting With Us Roofs Ltd In Mumbai

Aizawl : Pu Vanlaldina Fanai, Commissioner & Secretary to the Chief Minister and General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Mizoram, held a meeting in Mumbai with representatives of US Roofs Limited, the company assigned to construct the Mizoram House in Mumbai. This meeting was held as per the directive of Hon’ble Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma.

In light of previous concerns regarding the quality and terms of the agreement with the company, this meeting aimed to negotiate better terms for the benefit of the Mizoram government. Discussions focused on ensuring the building is constructed at a greater height, with improved standards, and under stricter supervision to ensure timely and quality completion.

Pu Vanlaldina Fanai was accompanied by Pu C. Lalhmunliana, Additional Private Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Pu H. Lalruatliana, Deputy Resident Commissioner, Mumbai.

According to Mizoram I&PR Press Release No. 1183/2024-25 dated 15th July 2024, the Mizoram government had already initiated construction work for the new Mizoram House in Mumbai. Following the initial phase, this recent meeting with US Roofs Ltd. was a follow-up to review progress and to address the company’s request for continuation and support. After thorough consideration, the government agreed to proceed with the proposed measures and continue the project under improved terms.
