Jaipur Aug 2025 : Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devanani said India’s prestige is continuously rising on the global stage. He emphasized that India’s democracy and Constitution are strong and that every citizen should take pride in the nation’s rich cultural heritage. Speaking at the Fourth Youth Parliament held in the Rajasthan Assembly under the aegis of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (Rajasthan Branch), Devanani addressed 168 youth participants from 13 states.

Devanani explained the values and culture of democracy, urging youth to understand that democracy thrives on dialogue, tolerance, and constructive dissent. He stressed that debates should be based on facts and logic, with mutual respect. Addressing both ruling and opposition sides, Devanani emphasized that India’s sovereignty and national unity are paramount, and disagreements must always be expressed with decorum and dignity.

He highlighted how India has been a hub of knowledge and science since ancient times, citing examples from the Vedas, Ramcharitmanas, and Mahabharata. He urged students to adopt a critical and inquisitive approach, especially in the age of social media, rather than blindly forwarding information.

The event saw 168 students from 55 schools across states like Rajasthan, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Union Territories like Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh, and Delhi engage in serious discussions on national security issues, including terrorism and the status of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Rajasthan Assembly’s Principal Secretary Bharat Bhushan Sharma, CPA Secretary Sandeep Sharma, and dignitaries from various educational institutions were present. The event aimed to nurture a generation of thoughtful, responsible, and disciplined youth leaders who understand the core values of India’s democratic traditions.
