Muralala’s Kabir Bhajans Enchant Megh Utsav, Meera Bai’s Hymns Conclude in Devotion
Jaipur, Aug 2025 — On the concluding day of the ongoing Megh Utsav at Jawahar Kala Kendra, the world-renowned Kabir Sufi singer Muralala Marvada enchanted the audience with his soul-stirring performances. Hailing from the Kutch region of Gujarat, Muralala presented Kabir’s verses in his unique folk-Sufi style, filling the atmosphere with spiritual essence and musical devotion.
Timeless compositions like “Mann Laga Mere Yaar Fakiri Mein” and “Jhini Jhini Bini Chadariya”, along with devotional bhajans of Meera Bai, left the audience spellbound. His performance seamlessly blended folk, Sufi, and devotional elements, transforming Megh Utsav into a memorable experience. From the beginning of the program, music lovers gathered enthusiastically, and the auditorium resonated with applause until the very end.
On this occasion, several distinguished guests were present, including Chairperson of Delphic Council of Rajasthan, Mrs. Shreya Guha (IAS), RERA Chairperson Mrs. Veenu Gupta, Former Chief Secretary Mr. D.B. Gupta, Principal Accountant General Mr. Satish Garg, Project Director of Rajeevika Mrs. Neha Giri, and IAS officers Mrs. Kavita Singh and Mr. Nishant Jain, among many other esteemed dignitaries.
Mrs. Shreya Guha stated that Megh Utsav is organized to celebrate the arrival of monsoon and to showcase the rich folk culture of Rajasthan. This two-day cultural festival featured world-renowned artists from across the country.
The festival was organized with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, North Zone Cultural Centre (Patiala), West Zone Cultural Centre (Udaipur), Jawahar Kala Kendra, and Rajeevika. The event witnessed the presence of prominent personalities from society, administration, politics, media, education, and the cultural fraternity, along with a large number of art enthusiasts.
