Masonry Training in Kondagaon District to Accelerate Housing Construction

84 Trainees from Kondagaon District Receiving Training by RSETI Narayanpur, Jagdalpur, and Kanker

Raipur, Aug 2025 : Taking a significant step towards connecting rural youth of Kondagaon district with self-employment and technical skills, a 30-day Masonry Training Program is being conducted for 84 selected trainees from the district with the collaboration of RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) Narayanpur, Jagdalpur, and Kanker. The selected participants are being provided practical knowledge on building construction techniques, quality control, safety standards, and tasks related to housing schemes.

The objective of this training is not only to make the youth self-reliant but also to ensure the completion of ongoing housing schemes in the district with skilled manpower, maintaining high-quality standards.

Significant Future Benefits

Currently, a large number of houses are under construction in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). The availability of technically trained masons will not only enhance construction quality but also ensure timely execution. This will further strengthen the progress of housing schemes in Kondagaon, enabling thousands of rural families to receive permanent housing at a faster pace. This effort by the district administration is not just employment-oriented but will also be a milestone in strengthening the rural infrastructure.

Certification and Employment Opportunities Post Training

Youth completing the training will be awarded certificates, giving them priority in various government construction works. Additionally, interested trainees will be able to start their own work at a private level, moving towards self-employment and economic independence.
