Tamil Nadu Secures ₹32,554 Crore Investments and 49,845 Jobs through 41 MoUs at Thoothukudi Investors’ Meet
Thoothukudi, Aug 2025: In a significant boost to Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth, Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin presided over the signing of 41 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the Thoothukudi Investors’ Conference. These MoUs will attract an investment of ₹32,554 crore and generate employment opportunities for 49,845 people.
Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated the production operations of four industrial projects with a cumulative investment of ₹1,230 crore, creating 3,100 new jobs. He also handed over appointment orders to employees selected for various technical positions in three companies, including Tata Power Solar, Infinix, and Pinnacle Infotech.
Key MoUs Signed at the Investors’ Meet:
- RGE Group (Singapore): First-time investment in India to establish a Man-Made Fibre production facility in Thoothukudi with an investment of ₹4,953 crore, generating 1,065 jobs.
- Kaynes Circuits India Pvt Ltd: Will set up an advanced electronics manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu with an investment of ₹4,995 crore, creating 4,700 jobs.
- Yeemak Pvt Ltd & Jeanuvs: To jointly produce multilayer PCBs, artillery shells, radar systems, and consumer electronic components in Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar with an investment of ₹3,400 crore, providing 7,600 jobs.
- Sentana Radha Engineering Works: Specialising in railway and shipbuilding components, will invest ₹1,500 crore in Thoothukudi.
- Getti Group: Establishing propulsion manufacturing and assembly facilities in Thoothukudi with an investment of ₹5,000 crore, creating 2,000 jobs.
- Ethereal Exploration Guild: A space-tech startup to produce medium-sized rocket engines and components in Thoothukudi.
- Hwaseung Enterprises (South Korea): Investing ₹1,720 crore to manufacture non-leather footwear in Thoothukudi, creating 20,000 jobs.
- Mobius Energy: Plans a solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Theni with an investment of ₹1,000 crore.
MSME Sector Developments:
Nineteen MoUs were signed under the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) category, with a total investment of ₹265.15 crore, promising 1,196 jobs. Companies involved span industries like food processing, matchstick manufacturing, hospitality, paper, and packaging, located across Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, and Kanyakumari.
Inauguration of New Industrial Units:
The Chief Minister inaugurated production operations of four projects worth ₹1,230 crore:
- Pro1health (Thoothukudi): Specializing in advanced textile technology.
- Nanda Devi Bio Energy (Tirunelveli): Focused on biofuel production.
- Britannia (Tirunelveli): Expanding food processing operations.
- Yeemak (Kanchipuram): Electronics component manufacturing.
Employment Orders Distributed:
Appointment letters were handed over to newly recruited technical personnel selected by Tata Power Solar, Infinix, and Pinnacle Infotech.

Radhakrishnan (Fisheries & Animal Husbandry), M. Thangraj (Milk & Dairy Development), T.R.B. Rajaa (Industries & Investment Promotion), MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, MLAs, senior officials, and industry representatives.
The Chief Minister emphasized that these investments align with Tamil Nadu’s vision to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2030. He reiterated the Dravidian Model’s commitment to inclusive growth, ensuring employment creation and industrial decentralization across districts like Thoothukudi.
