Submit Report on Mangrove Destruction Case – Assembly Deputy Speaker Anna Bansode

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Anna Bansode has directed the concerned departments and agencies to submit a report on the action taken against the company involved in the illegal felling of mangrove trees.

A meeting regarding this issue was held in the chamber at Vidhan Bhavan. Present at the meeting were MLA Sana Malik Sheikh, Mumbai Port Trust officials A.N. Khatri, Superintendent Engineer S.S. Saraf, Executive Engineer N.S. Devrukhkar, and other officials from the concerned departments.

Deputy Speaker Bansode stated that the case of unauthorized landfill and mangrove deforestation by the said company was raised during the Monsoon Session of the Assembly. He instructed the concerned departments and agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and promptly submit a report on the action taken.
