‘Aastha Path’ in Ayodhya: A Divine New Route Enhancing Devotees’ Journey to Ram Lalla’s Court

Ayodhya, Aug 2025 : The sacred land of Ayodhya, where Lord Shri Ram was born, is now welcoming devotees with a renewed divine aura. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the construction of ‘Aastha Path’ is nearing completion — a route designed to offer devotees a more seamless, safe, and spiritually enriching experience.

The 0.225-kilometre-long path, built at a cost of ₹5 crore, connects Bhakti Path and Ram Gulela directly to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path, thus linking the heart of Ayodhya both geographically and spiritually. ‘Aastha Path’ is not just a physical road but a living symbol of devotion, culture, and Sanatan tradition.

A Fusion of Ancient Legacy and Modern Development

As per the Ramayana, Lord Ram’s life was a symbol of sacrifice, dharma, and public welfare. The same path once graced by the footsteps of Shri Ram and Mata Kaushalya is now being transformed into ‘Aastha Path’. This project is a unique blend of Ayodhya’s cultural heritage and modern urban planning. Devotees can now reach the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple more conveniently through this route, which combines faith with functionality.

High-Quality, Future-Oriented Infrastructure

The project, which began on December 12, 2023, is being executed rapidly by PWD Division IV. According to Executive Engineer Shashi Bhushan Singh, essential utilities such as utility ducts, drainage, water pipelines, and cement concrete roads have already been installed. An advanced drainage system has been implemented to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon. Street lighting and urban furniture are in their final stages, and the footpath construction is expected to be completed by the end of August.

A New Chapter in the Journey of Faith

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, now a focal point of India’s spiritual awakening, is further connected to devotees through this divine path. ‘Aastha Path’ is more than a route — it is an answer to the heartfelt prayers of millions who long awaited a smoother pilgrimage experience to Ram Lalla. This initiative by the Yogi government is elevating Ayodhya’s spiritual stature, while also focusing on urban infrastructure, cleanliness, transportation, and tourist facilities.

Devotees and Locals Welcome the Initiative

Local residents and pilgrims from across the country have warmly appreciated the project. They believe Ayodhya is now emerging not only as a religious city but also as a model of cultural heritage and tourism on the global stage.

Aastha Path: Inspired by the Past, Guiding the Future

‘Aastha Path’ stands as a bridge between Ramayana-era glory and modern India’s vision — connecting not just Ayodhya, but the emotional and cultural heart of the entire nation. This path embodies the belief that where there is devotion, there is development — and when leadership is resolute, history is reborn in the present.
