Amit Shah Lauds Modi’s Achievements, Slams Opposition at Pune Convention.

During a state convention in Pune, Maharashtra, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah extolled the achievements of the Mahayuti government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Shah criticized the Congress party and Sharad Pawar for engaging in corruption, while praising the dedication of BJP karyakartas. Prominent figures such as Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar attended the event. Shah began his address by paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bajirao Peshwa, and Veer Savarkar, and extended his greetings to the people of Maharashtra on Guru Purnima.

Shah emphasized that BJP’s nationwide executive meetings are aimed at preparing for a victorious campaign in the 2024 elections, with a special focus in Maharashtra on ensuring a BJP-led government. He acknowledged the hard work of BJP karyakartas, highlighting their contributions under intense conditions. Shah noted that the BJP has seen unprecedented success, with Prime Minister Modi being the first leader in 60 years to take the oath for the third time. He called for continued efforts to achieve an even greater victory in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, building on the successes of 2014 and 2019.

In his speech, Shah addressed the confusion created by the opposition and reflected on his political journey, mentioning Rahul Gandhi’s perceived arrogance despite electoral losses. Shah pointed out that the BJP’s seat count surpasses that of the Congress, even when adding up their seats from the last three elections. He stated that the people of India have endorsed Modi’s leadership, granting him a third term with a majority. Shah urged BJP karyakartas to overcome dissatisfaction and focus on achieving a comprehensive victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Shah highlighted the BJP’s achievements, including the abolition of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Mandir, and the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand. He praised Modi’s government for its decisive actions against terrorism and naxalism, and for bringing significant developmental projects to Maharashtra. Shah contrasted the BJP’s developmental work with the Congress’s lack of progress, stating that Maharashtra received substantial financial support under Modi’s leadership compared to the previous UPA government.

Shah concluded by addressing various misconceptions and rumors spread by the opposition. He assured that no milk powder imports would occur under the BJP government and accused Sharad Pawar of institutionalizing corruption. Shah emphasized the BJP’s commitment to reservations for Marathas and criticized Pawar for failing to maintain them during his tenure. He called for unity among BJP members, highlighting the party’s focus on the welfare of the poor and marginalized, and stressed the importance of a strong BJP-led government in Maharashtra to continue the developmental and inclusive policies initiated under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
