Quick Response Team Training Concludes in Kolasib

Kolasib, Aug 2025 – The Kolasib District Quick Response Team (QRT) training programme concluded yesterday at 4:00 p.m. The closing event was presided over by Pu Rober C. Lalhmangaiha, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kolasib.

The QRT training, which began on Monday, August 4, 2025, was held at the ETC, SIRD&PR, Kolasib. A total of seven QRT members participated in the programme. During the training, three members of the Aizawl DDMA QRT conducted sessions on various emergency response techniques, while two tutors from the School of Nursing, Thingdawl, provided instruction on first aid and patient care.

The QRT is a specialised team trained to carry out immediate rescue and relief operations in the event of disasters or emergencies. Members are equipped with the skills needed to respond quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal loss of life and property.

This training was jointly organised by the DDMA Kolasib and the ETC, SIRD&PR Kolasib.
