Under the direction of the Collector, surprise inspection of fertilizer and medicine shops is being done
Collector and District Magistrate Mr. Amrit Vikas Topno has directed the Agriculture Department to conduct a thorough investigation of substandard, fake fertilizers, medicines, seeds etc. in the district and take strict action as per the rules. In compliance with the above instructions, a surprise inspection of M/s Kisan Beej Bhandaar Sakti located in Sakti Block was conducted with the district level inspection team under the leadership of Deputy Director Agriculture.
According to the information received from Deputy Director Agriculture Mr. Shashank Shinde, during the inspection, the seeds, medicines and fertilizer inputs of the said establishment were inspected. In the investigation, the trader was found to be storing medicines of other companies without adding source certificate in the license and as a result of storing expired medicines of three companies, violation of the Insecticide Act was found, a 21-day sales ban order has been issued by the Insecticide Inspector Development Block Sakti.
Under the direction of the Collector, continuous inspection has been started by the district level inspection team to ensure that the farmers of the district receive quality fertilizers, seeds and medicines. In the same sequence, a surprise inspection was conducted by the district level inspection team at M/s Kisan Beej Bhandaar under development block Sakti. During the inspection, the original copy of the pesticide license was not displayed at the proper place and a difference was found in the stock stored by the seller and the receipt bill, regarding which a clarification has been issued to the seller to submit a clarification along with appropriate documents within 07 days.
