Joint Team Inspects Agricultural Centers, Issues Notices to Six Centers
Raipur, Aug 2025 : On the instructions of Balodabazar-Bhatapara District Collector Deepak Soni, an intensive inspection campaign of agricultural centers is underway in the district. A joint team from the Agriculture Department and the Revenue Department is conducting raids in various development blocks. During the inspections, irregularities were found in six agricultural centers, which were issued show-cause notices, while pesticides and fungicides from one center were seized.
According to the information received, SDM Amit Gupta, Tehsildar Raju Patel, Naib Tehsildar Hamesh Sahu, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer Narad Kumar Bhardwaj, and Fertilizer Inspector Loknath Diwan inspected Praveen Enterprises and Naveen Traders in Balodabazar. At Naveen Traders, source certificates for pesticides were not maintained, stock and price lists were not displayed, and stock registers and bill books were not properly maintained, leading to a show-cause notice being issued. At Praveen Enterprises, the source certificates for pesticides were not maintained, leading to the seizure of the pesticides and fungicides.
In Palari, SDM Deepak Nikunj and Fertilizer Inspector Suchin Kumar Verma inspected Kisan Seva Kendra and Krishi Seva Kendra. Due to the absence of a prescribed stock register and failure to submit monthly reports to the department, a show-cause notice was issued. In Bhatarpara, SDM Abhishek Gupta, Deputy Director Agriculture Deepak Kumar Nayak, and Fertilizer Inspector Avdhesh Upadhyay inspected Krishi Sopan and New Sahu Krishi Seva Kendra, where discrepancies were found between the physical stock and the displayed stock, resulting in notices being issued.
Similarly, in Simga, SDM Anshul Verma, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Jayendra Kanwar, and Rural Agriculture Extension Officers Bhagirathi Prajapati and Santosh Das Manikpuri inspected Kisan Krishi Kendra in Simga and Agrawal Krishi Kendra in Damakheda. Discrepancies between the physical stock and the data in the POS machine led to show-cause notices being issued.
