CM Dhami said the state is working on the principle of “Hill to High-Tech” to ensure Uttarakhand is not only a beautiful hill state but also a technologically advanced one. The five major IT initiatives launched today will improve governance, enhance transparency, and speed up service delivery.
He highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India campaign, technology and innovation have expanded significantly, and the state is working to fulfill the PM’s vision. Through the “Digital Uttarakhand” app, citizens can access many government services from home, eliminating the need to visit offices. This supports the PM’s “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” mantra by integrating, simplifying, and streamlining public services while making monitoring easier.
The 66 new S3WaaS-based government websites will deliver departmental information securely, quickly, and transparently. The GIS-based waste management app will allow real-time tracking of garbage collection vehicles in cities. For encroachment control, citizens can upload photos or videos through a web app, triggering immediate departmental verification and action, all trackable online.
The 1905 CM Helpline will now use AI to automatically categorize complaints, speed up resolutions, and improve follow-up monitoring.
The CM also said the state is prioritizing online education, e-health services, and digitization of land records. The eDistrict portal and CM Dashboard will allow citizens to access many government services from home. Smart classrooms and e-learning platforms are being expanded for students. Remote-area residents will be able to consult specialist doctors via telemedicine and eSanjeevani. Through the “Apni Sarkar” portal, 886 services are now available online, and about 95% of villages in the state have telecom connectivity.
The event was attended by MLA Khajan Das, senior government officials including Principal Secretary L. Fanai, Secretaries Nitesh Jha, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Neeraj Kherwal, Dr. V.
