IBM’s Cooperation Essential for Achieving the Goal of a Developed Maharashtra – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : India’s economy is currently one of the fastest-growing in the world. Along with the vision of a developed India, the dream of a developed Maharashtra is also being realised. The cooperation of IBM is essential to achieve the goal of a developed Maharashtra, and the company will contribute towards this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed today.

The Chief Minister inaugurated IBM’s new office at Lodha World Tower. Speaking at the occasion were Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Principal Secretary of the General Administration (Information & Technology) Department Parag Jain-Nainutia, Chief Minister’s Investment Advisor Kaustubh Dhavse, IBM’s General Manager for India and South Asia Hans Dekker, and Managing Director Sandeep Patel.

Expressing satisfaction over IBM opening its office in Mumbai, the Chief Minister said that IBM will work with the state government on quantum computing and artificial intelligence technologies for the state’s development. “Quantum computing” technology is bringing positive changes in every field of life, and its influence is growing across all sectors. Maharashtra will also be at the forefront of progress with the help of this technology. Therefore, the memorandum of understanding signed with IBM for the state’s development is significant.

Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that climate change has created major challenges in the agricultural sector. This technology will play a crucial role in developing sustainable agriculture. With its help, it will be possible to devise solutions to the problems facing agriculture, thereby improving the lives of farmers, he expressed with confidence.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between IBM and the Government of Maharashtra for innovation and technology exchange.
