UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana Meets Rajasthan Speaker Vasudev Devnani

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Shri Satish Mahana paid a courtesy visit to Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani at the Assembly on Saturday.

Discussion on Legislative Role and Challenges
Both leaders discussed parliamentary procedures, democratic traditions, challenges before legislatures, and their effective role. Shri Devnani highlighted Rajasthan Assembly’s unique features, including its transparent working style, online and paperless functioning, and innovative practices.

Appreciation of Rajasthan Assembly Innovations
Shri Mahana admired the Assembly’s architectural grandeur, digital and paperless processes, and modern systems. He also visited the Assembly Museum, where he praised rare documents on parliamentary heritage, constitutional history, and Rajasthan’s democratic traditions.

Strengthening Democratic Institutions Through Shared Experience
The two Speakers emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences to strengthen democratic institutions and fostering cooperation among state legislatures.

Promotion of Indian Traditions
Shri Devnani informed that the Assembly publishes its annual diary based on the Indian New Year, has built the Kargil Shaurya Vatika, and developed a Political Narrative Museum featuring Rajasthan’s great personalities, revolutionary movements, and a Constitutional Gallery. He also showcased the Constitutional Club, where halls are named using Indian words.

Shri Devnani honored Shri Mahana with a bouquet, memento, stole, and shawl, followed by a hosted luncheon in his honor.
