Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Inspects Jalgaon’s Upcoming Medical Hub

Jalgaon, Aug 2025 : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday inspected the massive Medical Hub being developed on 66.27 acres of land at Chincholi Shivar along the Jalgaon–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Road. The inspection was carried out in the presence of Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan. District Collector Ayush Prasad, District Superintendent of Police Dr. Maheshwar Reddy, and Dean of Government Medical College Dr. Girish Thakur were also present.

During the review, Dean Dr. Girish Thakur presented detailed information about the Medical Hub through an architectural model. He explained that 5,615 sq. m. of land has been allocated for the medical college, on which 41,622 sq. m. of construction has been completed. Similarly, on the 5,890 sq. m. area reserved for the hospital, 41,622 sq. m. of construction has also been completed. In addition, 1,14,345 sq. m. of space has been utilized for residences and hostels.

Following the presentation, Deputy CM Pawar and Minister Mahajan visited various buildings within the Medical Hub to assess their current status. Instructions were issued to the engineers concerned to immediately rectify the shortcomings that were observed during the inspection.

This Medical Hub will house a state-of-the-art medical college, a super specialty hospital, a research center, and all other essential healthcare facilities under one roof. Deputy CM Pawar stated that the primary objective of the project is to ensure access to quality healthcare services for citizens from both rural and urban areas. He further emphasized that the project, with its long-term vision, would prove to be a “game changer” in the healthcare sector.

The project is expected to become a milestone for Jalgaon district, accelerating growth through investments in health and education. Once completed, patients from Jalgaon and across North Maharashtra will no longer have to depend on metropolitan cities like Pune and Mumbai for advanced medical treatment, as world-class healthcare will be available locally.
