Lunglei District Red Run Successfully Organized

Lunglei, Aug 2025:This morning, the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) successfully organized the Lunglei District Red Run 2025 at the Old Tennis Court, Venglai, Lunglei. About 150 students from five different Red Ribbon Clubs across colleges in Lunglei District took part in the event.

The Red Run 2025 was flagged off by Lunglei District Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pi Zoramdini. Addressing the youth participants, she urged them to refrain from drug abuse before marriage, to get tested for HIV at ICTCs to be well aware of their status, and to adopt a healthy lifestyle while living responsibly. She further encouraged them to play an active role in spreading awareness about HIV prevention.

District AIDS Control Officer Dr. K. Lalhmachhuana chaired the event, where MSACS Joint Director (CST) Dr. Richard CLR Hluna also delivered a message of encouragement.

The run was flagged off by Addl. DC Pi Zoramdini, starting from Old Tennis Court, Venglai. The participants ran via BCM Lunglawn East Church and returned to the Old Tennis Court.
