MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad Must Help Make Government Schemes More Society-Oriented: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that institutions affiliated with the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad should accord top priority to de-addiction by organising activities at the village and ward levels, and by motivating them to abstain from substance abuse. He stated that the Parishad should also study the effectiveness of development works and welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government at the grassroots level and provide feedback with suggestions. This would help in making the schemes more society-oriented. The functioning of the Parishad-affiliated institutions should be equivalent to a third-party evaluation.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav issued these directives while chairing the 15th Annual General Meeting of the Governing Body of Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad at Mantralaya.
‘Mitti Ganesh–Siddh Ganesh’ Campaign to Promote Environmental Awareness
The Chief Minister said that to promote swadeshi in the State, there is a need to work in collaboration with small and cottage industries as well as self-help groups. The institutions associated with the Parishad should encourage such participation and conduct activities in this direction.
The meeting was also briefed about awareness, training, and study activities to be conducted at the police station level for snakebite safety and snake conservation. It was informed that the Parishad is going to implement activities focused on environmental protection, personality development, civic and social discipline, CM Social Internship, Yuva Jan Abhiyan and Pankh initiatives for grassroots-level promotion of voluntarism and self-reliance.
Under the ‘Mitti Ganesh–Siddh Ganesh’ campaign, the Parishad’s trained network is inspiring and training women in villages and wards to make idols of Lord Ganesha from clay. These Mitti Ganesh idols will be worshipped and immersed at home, thereby promoting environmental conservation and awareness.
The meeting was attended by Vice President of the Parishad Shri Mohan Nagar, Governing Body members, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Sanjay Shukla and Executive Director of the Parishad Dr. Bakul Lad.
