Gautam Buddha Nagar, Shravasti Lead July’s Positive IGRS Rankings

Lucknow, Aug 2025 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, continuous efforts are underway to make the IGRS more efficient, transparent, and people friendly. In this context, the July report was presented before the Chief Minister.

According to the report, Gautam Buddha Nagar secured the top position at the level of Police Commissioner, SSP, and SP by receiving the highest percentage of satisfied feedback. At the same time, Shravasti district ranked first at the District Magistrate level.

At the Police Commissioner/SSP/SP level, Gautam Buddha Nagar recorded 98.72% satisfied feedback, followed by Pilibhit (98.23%), Ballia (96.04%), Basti (95.43%), and Shravasti (95.14%). These districts stood out for their timely and effective disposal of complaints.

At the District Magistrate level, Shravasti topped the list with 90.2% satisfied feedback, followed by Shahjahanpur (89.08%), Balrampur (83.44%), Hamirpur (82.15%), and Bareilly (80.11%). The complainants in these districts expressed greater satisfaction with the action taken at the DM level.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued clear directives that complaints should not be investigated by the officers against whom they are filed. Instead, they must be reviewed by senior officials to ensure justice and transparency. He further directed that if a “special close” is found to be inappropriate, strict departmental action should be taken against the officer or employee concerned. At the district level, ADM/Additional Magistrate, ASP, DCP, or other senior officers should be entrusted with the task of personally interacting with complainants before recommending a “special close” to ensure their satisfaction.

Reiterating his government’s commitment, the Chief Minister said that the public hearing system is being continuously strengthened to establish a direct dialogue between citizens and the government. Transparency, accountability, and sensitivity in grievance redressal remain the top priorities of the Yogi government. As a result, public confidence in the quality and fairness of complaint resolution across Uttar Pradesh has grown significantly.
