Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s Visit to Japan: A Key Step Towards Investment and Innovation
Discussions with JETRO Highlight Chhattisgarh’s Opportunities in IT, Textiles, and Aerospace
Raipur, Aug 2025 : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, during his visit to Japan, held an important meeting in Tokyo with senior representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) – Mr. Nakajo Kazuya, Mr. Endo Yuji, and Mr. Hara Harunobu. The discussions focused on exploring avenues of investment and industrial cooperation, with special emphasis on Information Technology, Textiles, Aerospace, Automobiles, Electronics, and Clean Energy sectors, highlighting Chhattisgarh’s immense potential.
Inviting Japanese investors, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh, located in the heart of India, is an emerging hub for industry and investment. With transparent policies, simplified processes, and strong industrial infrastructure, the state is fast becoming a preferred destination for global investors. The talks with JETRO are expected to open new avenues for economic collaboration between Chhattisgarh and Japan.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also attended the exhibition “Deep Space – To the Moon & Beyond”, organized on the occasion of National Space Day. He remarked that the rich showcase of space science and innovations will inspire and provide new direction to the upcoming Space Manufacturing Cluster in Rajnandgaon district, being developed with the support of the Government of India.
Expressing optimism, Chief Minister Sai said that his Japan visit would yield concrete results in investment, innovation, and technology transfer. He emphasized that the Government of Chhattisgarh aims not only to make the state industrially self-reliant but also to give it a strong international identity through global partnerships.
