Vision Document Must Reflect People’s Ideas – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Presentation of Draft ‘Viksit Maharashtra 2047’ Vision Document

Mumbai, Aug 25: To transform Maharashtra into a “Developed State” by 2047, a Vision Document is being prepared, incorporating short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals. Over four lakh citizens have shared their ideas for this initiative. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that the document must reflect the aspirations of the common people. He said it should serve as a guiding framework for all future schemes, initiatives, and policy decisions.

The draft presentation of the Viksit Maharashtra 2047 Vision Document was held at Sahyadri Guest House under the chairmanship of CM Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister of State for Finance and Planning Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, and Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar were present.

CM Fadnavis stated that once the goals are set, the path to achieve them becomes clearer. Through this Vision Document, the roadmap for achieving the “Developed Maharashtra” goal is being drawn. He stressed that its strategies should not only position Maharashtra as the best in India but also elevate it on a global platform. Departments must adopt modern technologies, innovative ideas, and global best practices while implementing their respective targets, he added.

Acknowledging the overwhelming participation of citizens, the CM said their contribution highlights the public’s strong commitment to the state’s progress. He expressed satisfaction that the Vision Document is emerging from an in-depth consultative process, identifying challenges the state faces on the road to comprehensive development. While the journey may be difficult, it is not impossible, Fadnavis remarked, expressing confidence that this would be a crucial roadmap for Maharashtra’s growth.

During the meeting, presentations were made by departments including Agriculture, Urban Development, Home, Cultural Affairs, Public Health, Medical Education, Tourism, General Administration (Services), Transport & Ports, and Public Works.
