Programme to be broadcast on August 31 at 12:15 PM from all Akashvani centres

Raipur, Aug 2025 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the government of good governance has taken another historic step towards the social, economic, and familial empowerment of rural women in Chhattisgarh. A special radio programme titled “Didi Ke Goth”, prepared under the State Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihan), will be launched on August 31, 2025, at 12:15 PM. The programme will be broadcast simultaneously from Akashvani Raipur and all other Akashvani centres in the state. It will also be available via live streaming on the online platform www.onlineradiofm.in/stations/all-india-air-raipur, enabling wider public participation.

Special messages from the Chief Minister and Ministers

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Union Minister for Rural Development, and the state’s Deputy Chief Minister & Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Vijay Sharma will deliver special messages and inspirational greetings addressed to rural women. The launch of this programme will not only mark the beginning of a unique platform but will also serve as a powerful medium to directly communicate government policies and schemes to the people.

Objective of “Didi Ke Goth”

The primary objective of “Didi Ke Goth” is to connect rural women with government schemes, provide them opportunities for self-employment, and encourage them to move towards self-reliance and independence. The programme will feature success stories of women from self-help groups who, despite struggles and hardships, achieved economic stability and created a new identity in society through their hard work and self-confidence.

Today, lakhs of women in Chhattisgarh have become “Lakhpati Didis”—women earning in lakhs annually. Their lives have been positively transformed by the Bihan scheme. These inspiring stories will reach every village and every household through the medium of radio, motivating other women to embark on the path of self-reliance.

Community participation through collective listening

To further amplify the impact of this programme, arrangements are being made for collective listening sessions at the panchayat, village organisation, and cluster organisation levels. These sessions will see the participation of public representatives, administrative officers, local communities, and self-help group members (Didis). Collective listening will create an atmosphere of dialogue, discussion, and inspiration in rural areas.

“Didi Ke Goth” is not just a radio programme, but a reflection of the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai’s government of good governance. Its purpose is to bring women’s voices to society at large, showcase their struggles and achievements, and connect them with government initiatives to lead them toward positive social transformation.
