New Hydrogen Unit to Drive Industrial and Energy Revolution: CM Dr. Yadav
Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the Bhoomi-Pujan of the hydrogen production unit in Piparseva, Morena, marks the beginning of a new industrial revolution, a new energy revolution and a new Madhya Pradesh. He said, “This unit, being set up in Morena will symbolise a growth for the Gwalior–Chambal region.” CM Dr. Yadav added, “Chambal’s land is not only fertile and productive but also sustainable. Morena, once
known for its ravines, is now emerging as a symbol of development and progress. It is no longer just an agriculture-based district but is emerging as an industrial hub. Morena’s famous ‘Gajak’ is trending globally, and even the design of India’s old Parliament building was inspired by Morena’s Mitawali temple.”
CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the public at the Bhoomi-Pujan of GH2 Solar Limited’s hydrogen production unit in Piparseva, Morena, on Sunday. Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar was present on the occasion. The Chief Minister inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, interacting with industrialists, and distributing Letters of Intent.
Linking India with Green Hydrogen and Advanced Energy Technologies
CM Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is leading the fight for Swadeshi to empower farmers, the poor and small entrepreneurs, and Madhya Pradesh is fully committed to supporting him. He informed that leading companies from Korea and the United Kingdom are providing technical support for the hydrogen unit being set up in Morena. Spread across seven acres, the project will produce green hydrogen and integrate India with cutting-edge technologies like hydrogen and battery energy storage. It is expected to provide direct jobs to 500 youth, along with numerous indirect employment avenues.
India Emerging as the Engine of Global Growth in the 21st Century
CM Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India is rising with new confidence and capacity on the global stage. Be it the successful G20 presidency, the historic India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor initiative, or the Free Trade Agreement with the United Kingdom, India is not just a participant but a guiding nation. He said India is now the world’s fourth-largest economy and is rapidly moving towards the third position. Campaigns like ‘Make in India’, ‘Startup India’, ‘Digital India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ have made India the engine of the 21st-century global growth journey.
Gwalior–Chambal: Hub of Investment, Innovation and Green Energy
CM Dr. Yadav noted that beyond its historical and cultural legacy, the Gwalior–Chambal region is emerging rapidly as a center for investment, innovation, and green energy. He said, “Here we see the confluence of
industry, tourism, culture and technology.” He informed that at the recently held Regional Tourism Conclave in Gwalior, investment proposals worth Rs. 3,500 crore were received. Since April 2024, land has been allotted to 220 industrial units in the region, involving investments of Rs. 12,500 crore and generating employment for over 21,000. He further stated that work on the Footwear & Accessories Cluster in Sitapur is progressing rapidly, with an investment of over Rs. 300 crore and employment for over 1,200 people. In Malanpur, Alexar Industries has invested Rs. 1,500 crore, while Gautam Solar Pvt. Ltd. is setting up a solar cell manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs. 4,000 crore. The state government is developing a series of industrial areas and parks in the Gwalior–Chambal region.
Commitment to Agro-Based Industries
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reaffirmed that the state government is committed to ensuring fair prices for farmers’ produce and promoting agro-based industries. He said that a major event for farmers will be organized soon. Efforts are also underway to increase milk production and improve the national-level branding and marketing of dairy products.
“State Setting New Industrial Milestones”: Speaker Shri Tomar
Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that today is a historic day for Morena’s development. He said that under the leadership of CM Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is setting new benchmarks in the industrial sector. He highlighted that the Gwalior Regional Tourism Conclave attracted Rs. 3,500 crore investment proposals and a Leather Park has been established in Chambal, drawing strong interest from industry groups. The event was
also attended by New and Renewable Energy Minister Shri Rakesh Shukla, MP Shri Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Green Hydrogen Factory promoter Shri Anurag Jain, along with several industrialists, public representatives and a large number of citizens.
Inauguration of Newly Built Toran Gate at Shanichara Temple
CM Dr. Yadav visited the spiritually significant Shanichara Temple in Morena and inaugurated the newly constructed Toran Gate. He offered prayers and performed rituals to Lord Shani, the deity of justice, seeking progress, prosperity, and well-being for the state and its people.
