27 Two-Wheelers Equipped with Advanced Fire Resistance Systems for Jalgaon District
Jalgaon : Today, 27 fire-fighting bikes were distributed to all 19 Municipal Fire Departments in Jalgaon District. This initiative, organized by the Disaster Management, Relief, and Rehabilitation Department of the Government of Maharashtra, took place on the premises of the Collector’s Office. The distribution was conducted by Water Supply and Sanitation Minister and Guardian Minister of Jalgaon District Gulabrao Patil, Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan, and Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil.
Dignitaries present at the event included Chandrakant Patil, Kishore Patil, Mangesh Chavan, Suresh Bhole, Lata Sonawane, District Collector Ayush Prasad, District Superintendent of Police Maheshwar Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ankit, and Disaster Management Officer Narveer Rawal.
A large number of fire officers and employees from all municipalities attended the program. They witnessed a demonstration of fire extinguishing using bikes equipped with advanced fire resistance systems.
Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil highlighted the importance of the ‘Watermist and CAF Bike Mounted Fire Extinguisher,’ describing it as the most modern and compact fire combat system. This system can quickly extinguish fires and prevent major damage in critical areas.
These fire-fighting systems are particularly effective for primary or moderate fires. They work by applying a minimal amount of water in the form of mist, using the fire’s heat to vaporize the water, which cools the fire rapidly. This evaporation process also reduces the oxygen supply around the fire, aiding in its extinction.
The system is designed to be operated by one or two persons and is suitable for use in public buildings like offices and schools. With minimal training, personnel can contain or extinguish fires before the fire brigade arrives, reducing water damage at the fire site.
This ‘Bike Mounted Mist Technology’ is especially useful for first responders in crowded areas. Currently, 27 two-wheeler-mounted fire engines have been provided in the district, enhancing the fire-fighting capabilities of Jalgaon.
