Under Mahatari Vandan Yojana, CM Sai Transfers ₹1,000 Each into Women’s Bank Accounts.
So far, ₹12,376.19 crore disbursed to beneficiaries under the scheme
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today transferred the 19th installment of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana during a grand program held in Kharsia, Raigarh district. A total of 69,15,994 women across the state received ₹1,000 each directly into their bank accounts. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, and Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade were also present.
CM Sai said the scheme is playing a vital role in improving the standard of living of women and strengthening their self-respect. He expressed confidence that this financial support would help women become self-reliant and also contribute to the economic stability of families.
In the September installment, ₹647.13 crore was disbursed. With this payment, a total of ₹12,376.19 crore has so far been directly transferred into the bank accounts of an average of 69,28,334 eligible women under the scheme.
Launched on March 1, 2024, the Mahatari Vandan Yojana aims to provide ₹1,000 monthly financial assistance to married and eligible women above 21 years of age, empowering them economically and socially. The initiative is proving to be a strong step toward social security and self-reliance for women in the state.
Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade said the scheme is providing new energy, confidence, and respect to women, bringing positive change in their lives and connecting them to the mainstream of economic progress.
The state government has announced that the scheme will be further strengthened, with women’s development, safety, and dignity given top priority. Addressing the women present, CM Sai assured them that the government will always stand with them and continue to take steps to improve their lives.
