India will become the third largest economy in the world in the next three years: CM Yogi
Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is set to become the world’s third-largest economy within the next three years. He emphasized that this milestone signifies a new era of prosperity and a significant step toward achieving self-reliance.
The Chief Minister was addressing ‘Rajat Jayanati Samaroh’ held at Kargil Smriti Vatika on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Reflecting on the 1999 Kargil war, he said, “It was a deceitful attack by Pakistan, which was met with a resolute response from Indian soldiers. This victory showcased India’s bravery and valor to the world. India remains a peaceful nation committed to democratic values and ideals, which is why it has never attacked any country.”
Highlighting the contribution of UP in building India as a self-reliant nation, he said that work is going on at a fast pace on the 6 nodes of the Defence Corridor in the state. Here, defence-related companies from India and abroad are setting up manufacturing units, presenting a new example of India’s self-reliance in the defence sector.
“Under the leadership of PM Modi, the country has entered the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of independence. In light of this, we need to rise above personal interests and work towards realizing the concepts of a developed India. We should prioritize national interest over individual concerns,” he added.
He mentioned that today, the country has a peaceful and harmonious environment, which paves the way for the nation’s prosperity. He paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending the country’s borders and extended his congratulations to the entire state on Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Tribute to martyrs at Kargil Memorial Garden
Before the program, CM Yogi paid tribute to the martyrs Major Ritesh Sharma, Captain Manoj Pandey, Captain Manoj Mishra, Lance Naik Kevada Nand Dwivedi and Rifleman Sunil Jung by laying wreaths on their statues installed in the Kargil Smriti Vatika and paid homage to their memories.
During this, Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLC Dr. Mahendra Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Ramchandra Pradhan, Pawan Kumar Chauhan, Engineer Avnish Kumar Singh, Somesh Trivedi, MLA Neeraj Bora, and other dignitaries were present.
