Five Vehicles Seized for Illegal Transportation of Minerals
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Continuous action is being taken against illegal mining, transportation, and storage of minerals in Bilaspur district. As part of this drive, today the Mineral Department team seized five tractor-trolley vehicles engaged in the transportation of ordinary stones without valid transit passes.
Under the direction of Collector Mr. Sanjay Agrawal and guidance of the Deputy Director of the Mineral Department, inspections were carried out in Sipat, Pandhi, Deori, Kaudia, Sendri, Lofandi, and Kachar areas. During this operation, five tractor-trolley vehicles were caught illegally transporting stones in the Kaudia region.
The seized vehicles have been placed under the custody of Sipat Police Station. The Mineral Department stated that strict monitoring against illegal mining, transportation, and storage of minerals will continue in the district and such actions will be carried forward.
