Tableaux Based on Mythological Episodes and Modern Events Became the Center of Attraction

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Attends the Historic Immersion Procession

Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai arrived late in the night on 8 September at the welcome stage set up by the Municipal Corporation at Jaistambh Chowk, located in the heart of Raipur. He joined the historic Ganesh immersion procession and greeted the participants showcasing decorated tableaux.

While addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that Raipur’s Ganesh immersion tableaux represent a deeply rooted and historic tradition. On this occasion, he also prayed to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, for the prosperity and well-being of Chhattisgarh. Mr. Sai expressed his gratitude to the organizers for inviting him to be part of the historic procession.

It is noteworthy that the Ganesh tableaux procession in the capital began on the evening of 8 September at 8 PM. As per tradition, tokens were distributed to tableaux groups at Sharda Chowk, from where the procession commenced. The tableaux then passed through Telghani Naka, Rathore Chowk, and Tatya Para, before reassembling at Sharda Chowk and proceeding one by one.

The decorated tableaux then moved via Jaistambh Chowk, Malviya Road, Sadar Bazar, Kankalipara, Purani Basti, Lakhenagar, Ashwani Nagar, Sundar Nagar, and Raipura Road, finally reaching Mahadev Ghat.

This year too, the tableaux were attractively themed on diverse subjects. Alongside mythological episodes, glimpses of Operation Sindoor and Rafale fighter jets were also showcased. The tableau featuring a Rafale aircraft on Raipur’s streets was a special attraction. In another tableau, Lord Ganesha was depicted in traditional Chhattisgarhi attire, drawing great admiration.

To witness these tableaux, not only did residents of Raipur gather in large numbers, but people from nearby rural areas also flocked to the capital city.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Mr. Khushwant Saheb, MLA Mr. Motilal Sahu, MLA Mr. Purandar Mishra, and Raipur Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey, along with a large number of local public representatives, were present.
