Punjab Becomes the State Giving Highest Compensation to Farmers in India

Chandigarh, Sept 2025 : The floods in Punjab washed away the hard work and dreams of farmers, but the Aam Aadmi Party government did not abandon them. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann immediately took a major decision, announcing that every affected farmer would receive compensation of ₹20,000 per acre. Not only this, but the Mann government has also announced ₹4 lakh compensation for families who lost loved ones in the floods. Additionally, farmers have been allowed to sell the sand deposited in their fields, giving them immediate cash relief and easing the path for the next sowing season. These measures show that the government truly understands the farmers’ hardships and is determined to provide them with every possible support.

At a time when Punjab’s farmers are struggling amidst devastated fields and broken homes, this decision has brought them a new ray of hope.
