Better Implementation of Schemes Requires Coordination Between States and Centre: Minister Laxmi Rajwade
Raipur, Sept 2025: Women & Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade said today that better coordination between states and the central government is essential for effective implementation of schemes. She was speaking at a video conference organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on the theme of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.

Minister Rajwade highlighted that Chhattisgarh is continuously working to connect marginalized sections of society with the mainstream of social justice. The state is expanding and effectively implementing schemes for the empowerment of persons with disabilities, senior citizens, Scheduled Castes and Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and the transgender community. She emphasized that strong coordination between states and the central government will ensure that policies and schemes quickly reach those in need, helping to realize the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”. She also stated that social justice is not only a constitutional duty but a humanitarian responsibility.
The video conference, chaired by Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar, gathered inputs from states on strategies to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and discussed long-term plans related to social justice and empowerment. Key issues discussed included education, healthcare, social security, empowerment of persons with disabilities, drug de-addiction, skill development, and mainstreaming vulnerable sections of society. Ministers from all states provided their suggestions, and the central government assured the formulation of concrete policies in these areas.
