CM’s Prosperous Panchayati Raj Campaign to Drive Rural Growth: Nitesh Rane
Sindhudurgnagari, Sept 2025 : A Sarpanch is truly the servant of the people, and it is their responsibility to bring about the holistic transformation of villages. The development of villages is directly linked to the progress of the district. Therefore, people’s representatives must work responsibly, transparently, and in the interest of the public. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched this campaign to create healthy competition. Through this initiative, economic prosperity will reach rural areas, fresh energy for development will spread across villages, and rural regions will move towards prosperity, said Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane.
The special workshop on the Chief Minister’s Panchayati Raj Campaign was held today in Sindhudurgnagari. Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane attended as the chief guest. On this occasion, Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad was specially felicitated for securing the second state-level award in the Panchayat Development Index. Additionally, several Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samitis were honored with awards and mementos by the Guardian Minister.
The event was attended by Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Khebubkar, Additional CEO Ravi Patil, Deputy CEO Jayaprakash Parab, PM Vishwakarma Committee member Prabhakar Sawant, Education Officer Ganpati Kamalakar, Mrs. Shimpi, District Health Officer Dr. Sai Dhuri, and others.
The Guardian Minister further stated that between September 17 and December 31, the district must actively participate in the Chief Minister’s Panchayati Raj Campaign and strive to secure the first rank. Only through transparent performance and healthy competition can villages achieve holistic development. This campaign will foster such competition. If each Gram Panchayat participates by understanding the campaign’s criteria and acting accordingly, villages will witness visible transformation. Representatives should prioritize securing necessary funds for their villages and continue to deliver consistent performance even after receiving awards. Just as artificial intelligence (AI) is now being used in district administration, Gram Panchayats should also integrate AI in their governance to speed up processes. He appealed to all representatives to make honest efforts so that Sindhudurg district secures the top position in the campaign. He emphasized that development must reach every individual at the grassroots level.
